Plaques
Plaques are available in a number of different hanging and free standing styles utilizing materials milled from different areas of the recovered sinker logs. Currently the plaques are laser engraved with graphics relative to Native American and/or historical Maine river logging themes. As this product line expands we anticipate having plaques where Maine artists will use paint, wood burning, carving and other mediums to apply artwork to our wood.
Most of the flat style plaques are left with a rough sawed surface on the back side to add additional character to the piece. Some cupping might remain that represents exactly how the ancient wood naturally setteled into its new form as it dried.
